Carb Back-Loading™ / Glycogen stores and depletion
« Last post by ibobland08 on Today at 09:24:41 PM »
Isn't this one of those puzzle pieces that hasn't been solved yet, even by Kiefer? How to tell if you're glycogen depleted? Wish there was some simple test, like a Ketostick or something.

Kiefer said males will be depleted after being low carb for 3 days.  Females are depleted in about 5.  This is for sedentary folks.  If you are training it will be a little less.  Especially if you do HIIT.

It depends on the amount of MCT oil I use. 1-3 days
How so?

Hey Guys,

im quite the junkie, but every time I eat junk I curse myself to no end. After reading about CBL and buying the book im ready to give it a try.

Height: 5'9
Weight: 155 pounds
BF%: 12.
Usually workout at 630pm-830pm, wake up at 930am

I'm a varsity level squash player and I do some intense weightlifting sessions about 5-6 weeks with about 45 min of cardio in the form of squash right after weights. I've managed to lean down a fair amount by staying on of those healthy 6 meals a day diets but have not successfully attained the abs im looking for.

Im really scared about getting fat, but at the same time I really want to gain some muscle (20 pounds) and get down to 7 BF%. I read Kiefer's CBL and It says that for my body weight to have about 560gms of carbs every workout day night. This is hard, but possible. Im really confused as what kinds of desserts I can eat and how exactly I can stuff my face, i.e counting my macros throughout the day and specifically at night.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone could even share their meal plans with me or explain to me how the count their macros whilst staying ripped would be great. I'd be happy to return the favour once i try and succeed.

Cheers,

Riyan

It depends on too many variables to say precisely without knowing everything about you and your history. Which we dont want! (; You could buy a book like Beyond Brawn which would help you immensely. http://www.amazon.com/Beyond-Brawn-Insiders-Encyclopedia-Muscle/dp/9963916368

Thank erchomai but I read the nutritional and ingredients label on everything so I've already checked it out and the product I use is calorie and carbohydrate free. It's by Hermesetas and it's called Stevia Sweet.

i have found 1 HIIT of Sprints or Elliptical the day after carbnite helps me out.  i am 6'3" 296.  3 min to 1 min or 4 min to 1 minute.  do maybe 6 to 8 cycles.  it works wonders for T levels and GH levels from what i have read.
