My experience using carb-back loading has been awesome.  I have never been a big carb person keeping my carbs way low (just because this was the only way I knew how to stay lean year round) but now that I have read all of Keifer's stuff I am no longer scared of carbs.  I eat carbs every night post-workout unless I train in the morning, which usually is never.  I try to eat around 150 grams a night on workout days and about 75-100 on non training days depending on how I feel.  I have had no problems getting it into my diet I just know to eat rice or sweet potatoes at night.  These are my main two carb sources with the occasional cup of blueberries at night.  I eat 95% Paleo and believe it is the best way to eat for optimal health except for rice which for me is pretty much harmless.  I do not have any lifts or pics to share but I am back into trying to improve strength across all lifts and have noticed an increase in strength.  Back squatted today for the first time in two years (learned to love front squats) and hit 335 with ease.  For me this is a big number considering I have the mobility of an arm chair and back squatting has always been hard for me.  I hope to hit 400 in a few months. I bought Carb Nite and plan on implementing it sometime towards the Spring.  For now, I will be consuming Carbs every single night .

I don't think I have a good barometer for what "massive gains", "huge body fat losses", or "feeling dry and jacked" are.  I started at 215lb, 20%bf.  What kind of fat loss should I expect over 1 month/3 months/6months?

It's been just under 1 month and I believe I've lost 1.5%bf and 6lb.  Good?  Bad?  Normal?

I've been fooling around with Backloading since reading about it on EliteFTS and speaking with Jason Pegg -probably a few months off and on. I'm definitely looking forward to the book because what I've been able to piece together is not as effective as others seem to experience.

I've certainly been able to eat more (and more junk at that) and not gain any fat -but I was really hoping to get lean and large -and that just hasn't been happening.

Looking forward to the book, for sure!  :)

I have always tried to avoid carbs because I thought they would make me fat. It wasn't until I started reading Keifer articles that I realized I should be eating carbs. Ever since I started using the carb- back loading strAtegy (started in Sept.) I have lost about 3.5 inches around my belly while losing no strength. I have been eating around 350 grams of carbs every workout day. The carb sources vary from Ben & Jerry' s I cecream to rice. I continue to drop weight. I do not feel like I am on a diet. I recommend anyone to try this strategy!

My experience with carb backloading has been pretty positive so far.  I have already been an IF'r and therefore, backload my calories.  After reading Keifers articles and hearing some buzz on the forums about carb backloading, I realized that it made sense to just consume all of my carbs in the post workout window anyway.  I already trained in the evening and I was already accustomed to not eating breakfast due to IFing.

I do not think I've pushed the system to it's full potential yet...I haven't really pushed to see how many carbs I can eat without fat gain.  Typically I eat about 250-275g of carbs all within about 3 hours or so post workout in the evening.  On days that I don't train...I don't really eat carbs, but if I do, I do it on my last meal of the day and it's relatively moderate in terms of intake (50-80g).

I'd love to learn even more about the system and see how far I can push the carb envelope so to speak.  I really am a junky for kids cereal.

My experience has been great although I think I have tested the limits of its effectiveness during Halloween.

4 days per week after workouts I take in a Whey & Dextrose shake, then gorge myself like I'm going to the gas chamber.
Non-workout days have just been protein & fat as desired. Bacon, steak, PB all while staying around 30g net carbs per day ala Carb Nite.

I don't have it down yet, I can inhale extremely large amounts of junk food post workout and it has "spilled over" at times leaving me soft the next day.

No massive results or pics yet, I have massive goals so if this book can lead me there I'd be happy to send you shirtless testimonial pics. I'll even shave my chest for dramatic effect.

I've lost 6lb, 1.5%bf, but my waist is stuck at 39".  I don't get it.  I hope the book can answer that.

I started working out just about 14 months ago to lose my gut and hopefully build muscle and after one year I was somewhat lean but very little muscle from dieting so much on boring strict diets, it sucked. I came across carb-back loading in Mens Fitness and thought man I want to be able to eat ice cream after every workout and build muscle and gain minimal fat why not give it a shot I was so tired of diets and looking the same i looked 10 months ago. So i went carb-free for 5 days just like Kiefer says to then I kinda tailored carb-back loading to the typical diet of healthy carbs, veggies and coming up short on calories after lifting because I was scared to gain fat so what happen same thing that happened all year i looked the same every-mourning I woke up. I told my-self lifes to short to do the same thing everyday with the same results (insanity) so I did  what Kiefer explained woke up drank some cream didn't eat till lunch ate proteins, fats and some veggies worked out around 3:30 and after workout drank my post shake then I ate as much fast acting crappiest carbs i could eat up untill about two hours before bed (I did this because otherwise i couldn't sleep after all that sugar) and what did i notice in a few weeks my strength in all my workouts was going up but to my surprise my wast was getting smaller and yea my chest was getting bigger. Its been 2-months know my strength is still climbing I get comments on how my arms and chest are bigger. All my friends hate how I eat a pint of Ben & Jerrys  every night with-out failure and still got my abs showing yup I tell them I'm SUPERHUMAN! Carb-Back loading works for all the doubters just like i was dont be scared what you got to lose.

...ok...dog me if you must...I've been 24/7-ing for a few weeks...typical fluff stuff as far as I can see. I'm familiar with Kiefer's no BS program and decided to dump the fluff and compare results...so simple...so easy...so "rewarding" if you know what I mean. Already feel more comfortable and fulfilled. Full report after a few more weeks.

I have been following carb back-loading protocol for 2 weeks now. I start my day with a nice espresso and cream at about 0530-0600 am. I have another of these at about 1000-1030 am. I have a shake made with water and 50-75 grams of hydrolyzed whey protein at 1130-1200 noonish. And then another shake about 2 1/2 hours later.

Question coming promise.

I will have steak and salad with oil and balsamic vinegar at about 0500-530 and then workout after.

Does the hydrolyzed whey elevate my insulin levels? If so how do I avoid this, drink my protein with cream?

Post workout I have rice cakes with almond butter and real fruit jam, then later some m and m's with another protein shake with almond milk and a banana. Is this enough carbs?

I am trying to maintain my weight and do a recomposition. I seem to be stagnating. Thanks for reading.
Looking forward to the book coming out.

Back loading has totally transformed the way I train and things couldn't be better. I started about 3 weeks ago and I have already seen major improvements. The biggest improvements have been in my lift numbers, I've been able to lift much heavier weight then before and I've been gaining mass like crazy, but no increase in body fat, in fact I think I've decreased my body fat percentage. In 3 weeks I've managed to gain about 10 pounds and loose about an inch from my waist. Right now I'm 6 feet, 170lbs and I'm looking to put myself in the 185-190lb range. I have never before been able to gain weight while not gaining fat before. Carb Back loading has been the best thing to happen to my lifting routine since I started lifting! I'm eagerly awaiting the release of the book, just to clarify some minor issues and I'm also eagerly awaiting the release of the software, which will be awesome. Keep up with the good work!

I've been following the carb backloading strategy for 1 month.

I got pretty good results at first, but have been having major issues with resisting the temptation to carb before my workout (usually around lunch time).

My body weight has remained the same.   I am eating ALOT of junk food, so i think thats a plus.  Have not lost any fat, but am getting stronger still. Miss sugar in my coffee in the morning :(

for the record, i don't want to gain weight.  i just want to get stronger and less fat simultaniously. lol.

Carb-Back Loading has been just the thing I needed to break my training plateau.

Originally, i was a carbo-phobe, and would stay away from any high-glycemic carbohydrates at all costs.  I read carb-backloading on Elite FTS, but didn't start it until it was re-posted as an Elite FTS classic.  I decided to give it a try and was shocked at how it jump started my training.

I was in a bit of a rut, and my bodyweight and lifts hadn't changed much in the past six months.  As soon as I started back-loading my carbs I jumped from 240 to 250ish but looked more vascular and could see my abs better than I could the last time I cut down to 230.  Also, my weighted chin up went from bw+60lbs for 5 reps to bw+90 for 5.  I figured that there was no way my weighted chins would go up if i was getting fat, so i started eating as much as I could in the post workout hours before bed.

Now backloading is comfortable to me, I drink protein shakes at work and have a lean lunch consisting mainly of lean meat and veggies, as well as avocado for the fat and fiber.  Before I work out I have some coconut oil, and I have more energy than when i used to take pre workout stimulants.  Its as if the low carbs throughout the day let me be more alert and full of energy.  Since backloading I have set pr's in all my lifts, and look the best I ever have at this bodyweight.

I look forwards to the book, and have been enjoying the new content (on t-nation?!?! really come a long way since logic does not apply)

I've only been Carb Back-Loading for about a week. I found out about Carb Back-Loading from Kiefer's articles on EliteFTS, which then brought me to the Dangerously Hardcore website, at which point I read all the material here.

Since I started Carb Back-Loading, the biggest difference I have noticed is better recovery between training sessions and more even energy throughout the day. I'm also loving the heaving carb consumption in the evening.

However, I have many more questions about Carb Back-Loading and I'm sure I'm not doing it as optimally as I could be, especially since I currently train late in the morning. I am looking forward to the book, and hope it will clear up many of my questions.

Thanks for the opportunity to win a copy of the Carb Back-Loading book.
